Fastivskyi district deserves recent reforms
The administrative-territorial reform of 2020 favorably influenced the development of Fastiv district. As a result, additional lands were added to the existing territory:
- Glevakhiv settlement community
- Kalinivska settlement community
- Boyar city community
- Chabanivska village
- Gatna village community
- Byshivska rural community
- the city of Fastiv
At the moment, the total area of Fastiv district is 1 km², and the population is 761 thousand people. All of them live on the territory of the newly formed administrative and territorial units:
- 2 urban territorial communities (Boyarska and Fastivska)
- 4 settlement territorial communities (Glevakhivska, Kalynivska, Kozhanska, Chabanivska)
- 3 rural territorial communities (Byshivska, Gatnenska, Tomashivska)
They consist of 109 settlements. Currently, the boundaries of Fastivskyi district pass along Bilotserkivskyi, Buchanskyi and Obukhivskyi districts, Zhytomyr region and the city of Kyiv.

The distance from Fastov to the center of Kyiv is only 80 kilometers. To overcome them, you can use the following parts of the local transport interchange:
- 3 railway stations (Vasylkiv-1, Kozhanka, Motovylivka)
- 2 platforms (Vyshnyaki, Snitinka)
- 5 stops (Volitsa, Nova Volitsa, Skryhalivka, Trilisy, Unava)
- 28 bus stations
