Velika Vasylkivska refers to Shevchenkivskyi, Pechersk и Holosiivskyi districts of Kyiv (Nova Budova locality). With a length of 3,8 km, it runs from Shevchenko Boulevard and Bessarabska Square to Mikhnovsky Boulevard and Lybidska Square.
From ancient times it was known as the road from Kyiv to Vasylkiv, from the first third of the 19th century it was called Velyka Vasylkivska. Despite the fact that in 1919 it was renamed Chervonoarmiiska (Red Army), in 2014 it was returned to its former name.
