The street is located in a small elite district of Kyiv - Pecherskyi, which is located right in the center of the capital. It runs between Professor Pidvysotsky and Saltykov-Shchedrin streets.
Until recently, it was named after Mykhailo Dragomirov, one of the most successful military commanders and military theorists of Ukrainian origin in the 19th century. On June 20, 2023, it was renamed in honor of the Hero of Ukraine soldier Andriy Verkhoglyad with the call sign "Livsha".
