The street is located in the Pechersk district of Kyiv (between Velika Vasylkivska and Zadniprovska) and stretches for 1,16 km. It appeared in the middle of the 19th century and was initially known as German and Bukhteevska (also mentioned as German-Bukhteevska), and since 1938 - as Surikova. After 6 years, most of the street separated and became known as Kutuzovska. After a number of renamings, in 2015 it received a modern name in honor of a figure of the Ukrainian nationalist movement.
